Recap: Trinity Wolves vs. Willows Honkers
The Trinity Wolves pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Willows. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Thursday (61), Trinity still had to take the loss.
Trinity's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carver Dresselhaus, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds, and Luka Robles who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taylor Rhein, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Trinity has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Willows, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Trinity will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Hayfork at 12:45 p.m. Willows' road trip will continue as they head out to face Fall River at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th. Fall River knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Willows likes a good challenge.
