Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

Lafayette lost against Highlands back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Generals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluebirds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highlands to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Muzumdar, who had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Muzumdar has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Lyla Shaffer, who had four aces and three digs.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Nelson County on the 11th. Hopefully Highlands paid attention to the Generals' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Generals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
