Softball Recap: Oakville Tigers vs. Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights
After flying high against Mehlville last Wednesday, Oakville came back down to earth. The Oakville Tigers fell just short of the Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2017.
The loss snapped Oakville's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-9 record. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Oakville will host Marquette at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-7 defeat against Rockwood Summit on the 4th.
