Preview: Fieldston Eagles vs. Riverdale Country Falcons
The Fieldston Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Riverdale Country Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Fieldston is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Fieldston didn't have too much trouble with Poly Prep Country Day on the road as they won 55-36.
Jade ling Eng-stewart was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarah Weinick, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Riverdale Country was the victim of a rough 61-40 defeat at the hands of Fieldston back in December of 2023.
Fieldston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Riverdale Country, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Fieldston took their win against Riverdale Country in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 61-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fieldston since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
