Volleyball Recap: Sunshine Bible Academy Comes Up Short

Sunshine Bible Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Wessington Springs Spartans. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-12.

Ciera Mickelson paced Sunshine Bible Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Mickelson got some help from Breanna Thieman and her three assists. Finally, Mickelson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Sunshine Bible Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Wessington Springs, their victory ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15.

Sunshine Bible Academy has already played their next match (against James Valley Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wessington Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wolsey-Wessington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
