Baseball Recap: Seventy-First Falcons vs. Middle Creek Mustangs

Seventy-First and Middle Creek squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Seventy-First had to settle for second. They lost 14-3 to the Mustangs. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Seventy-First got a good showing from Joshua Davis, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Furthermore, Davis didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2025.

On the hitting side, Seventy-First saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nasir Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Seventy-First's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Middle Creek, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-10 record.
