With a playoff win on the line, Richland rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Ferris Saxons a 2-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Richland sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Martin Rivera was the driving force of Richland's attack as he scored both of Richland's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Richland's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven contests. As for Ferris, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Richland and Ferris are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bombers will be playing in front of their home fans against Pasco at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ferris, they will take on Gonzaga Prep on Saturday.
