Baseball Recap: Armstrong Comes Up Short

After flying high against Penn Hills last Tuesday, Armstrong came back down to earth. The River Hawks fell just short of the Gateway Gators by a score of 7-5 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Armstrong's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Gateway, their record now sits at 6-3.

Coincidentally, Armstrong and Gateway will both be playing Kiski Area the next time they take the field. The Gators will host the Cavaliers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the River Hawks will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
