Colorado Academy will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Dawson School extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Mustangs put the hurt on Lyons with a sharp 12-1 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won seven matches by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Dawson School let Shelton Johnson and Micah Thorstad run wild. Johnson went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Thorstad got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave Thorstad a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Milo Richtel, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Dawson School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Colorado Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.38 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They fell 10-5 to Holy Family. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Jordan Reiter was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kieran Delaney, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Dawson School pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Colorado Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-4.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dawson School hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349.
