Softball Recap: Blaine Triumphs

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Blaine ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Lakeville North Panthers 6-5. Six seems to be a good number for the Bengals as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Blaine's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Lakeville North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Blaine will take on St. Michael-Albertville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeville North, they will face off against Shakopee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
