Volleyball Recap: Mauston Falls Despite Big Games from Rylea Mehne and Dylan Walsh

Mauston was the 2-1 winner over Lancaster when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Flying Arrows by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mauston's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dylan Walsh, who had five digs and five aces, and Rylea Mehne, who had six digs and two aces.

Mauston's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Lancaster, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Mauston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Colby on the 20th. As for Lancaster, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Reedsburg on the 20th.
