Basketball Recap: Savannah Christian Comes Up Short

Savannah Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 44-20 to the Toombs County Bulldogs. The Raiders were down 39-9 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Savannah Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Toombs County, they moved to 1-2 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Savannah Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Andrew's at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Toombs County, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Bacon County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bacon County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Toombs County surely won't give up without a fight.
