Volleyball Recap: Sandia Takes a Loss

Sandia lost against Santa Fe back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Matadors came up short against the Demons, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-13.

Payten Chavez was nothing short of spectacular for Santa Fe: she had 14 digs and two aces.

Sandia has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Santa Fe, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Sandia will challenge La Cueva at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Matadors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santa Fe, they will welcome Capital at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
