Basketball Recap: Fairmont Senior Falls Short Against Ranked Shady Spring

On Saturday, Fairmont Senior faced Shady Spring in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Fairmont Senior Polar Bears took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shady Spring Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Polar Bears of the 58-55 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Fairmont Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Shady Spring, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
