Basketball Game Preview: Denbigh Patriots vs. Menchville Monarchs

Denbigh is 0-10 against Menchville since December of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Denbigh Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Menchville Monarchs at 5:30 p.m.

Denbigh is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Monday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Kecoughtan.

Meanwhile, Menchville took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging an 83-18 win over Phoebus. The Monarchs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Menchville's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 50 points. As for Denbigh, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Denbigh was taken down by Menchville 83-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Denbigh avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
