Softball Recap: Ferndale Comes Up Short

Ferndale lost against Burlington-Edison back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles lost 14-4 to the Tigers. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaelin Blakley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

Ferndale's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Burlington-Edison, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ferndale will challenge rival Nooksack Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
