Baseball Game Preview: Roswell Coyotes vs. Artesia Bulldogs

The Roswell Coyotes will take on the Artesia Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roswell will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Roswell proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 13) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Santa Fe 6-5.

Roswell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Lynn, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. The Coyotes are 3-1 when Lynn posts two or more runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Noah Lynn was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Artesia). They walked away with a 16-13 victory over Hobbs on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly three runs.

Artesia pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Roswell, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
