Softball Recap: Constantine Comes Up Short

Constantine lost against Dowagiac on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons came up short against the Chieftains, falling 18-7. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jozee Buglione and Olivia Herlein stepped up to the plate in a big way. Buglione went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Herlein went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Ross, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Constantine's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Dowagiac, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home.

Constantine and Dowagiac should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Falcons will take on Centreville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (85 vs. 275). Meanwhile, Dowagiac (ranked 18th) will meet Berrien Springs (ranked 352nd) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
