Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vermilion). They walked away with a 16-11 win over the Willard Crimson Flashes on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Sailors: when they faced off against the Crimson Flashes two weeks ago, they had to take a 11-9 defeat.
Jilly Leimbach was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Zsebik, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
Vermilion always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
