Softball Preview: Eastern Musketeers vs. Austin Eagles
Eastern has gone 8-1 against Austin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Musketeers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
On Wednesday, Eastern didn't have quite enough to beat Salem and fell 3-2. The Musketeers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bracie Jackson was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
Jackson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sidney Patton, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Austin fell victim to Springs Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Blackhawks, falling 10-0.
Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Eastern, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-6.
