Baseball Recap: Perkiomen Valley Triumphs

The Perkiomen Valley Vikings made easy work of the Bristol Warriors on Monday and carried off a 12-2 victory.

Nicholas Cress looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Liam McNeill, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Michael Strechay, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Perkiomen Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bristol only posted an OBP of .300.

Perkiomen Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Bristol, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perkiomen Valley is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Spring-Ford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bristol, they will venture away from home to challenge Church Farm at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
