Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Academy Beats Neuse Christian Academy for Their 14th Straight Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lawrence Academy had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Neuse Christian Academy Lions as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Warriors are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 14 straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12, 25-14.

Evonna Brown and Rachel Cunningham certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Brown had 17 assists and five digs, while Cunningham had 14 digs and two aces. Brown is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Lawrence Academy's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Lawrence Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lee Christian on the 21st. Neuse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
