Basketball Recap: Whites Creek Comes Up Short

Whites Creek entered their game against East Nashville Magnet on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Whites Creek Cobras took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Nashville Magnet Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 58-50 defeat back in January.

Despite the loss, Whites Creek still got an impressive performance from Malachi Benton, who went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Hughes, who posted ten points and six assists.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 12-11. As for East Nashville Magnet, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Whites Creek nor East Nashville Magnet have any future games scheduled.
