Basketball Recap: Tongue River Takes a Loss

Tongue River was the 43-34 winner over Southeast when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tongue River Eagles took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeast Cyclones on Friday.

Southeast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayden Desmond led the charge by going 8 of 13 en route to 20 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of TJ Moats, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Tongue River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southeast, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Tongue River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-27 loss against Lingle-Fort Laramie on the 14th. As for Southeast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-37 win against South on the 14th.
