Volleyball Recap: Plainfield South Takes a Loss

Plainfield South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainfield East Bengals. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bengals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16.

Plainfield South's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Plainfield East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Plainfield South will face off against rival Yorkville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Plainfield East is set to take on their familiar foe Plainfield North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
