Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles West Warriors vs. Duchesne Pioneers

The St. Charles West Warriors will take on the Duchesne Pioneers at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

St. Charles West is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Bayless 62-27. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won five contests in a row.

Meanwhile, Duchesne posted their biggest victory since January 17, 2024 on Thursday. They blew past Bishop DuBourg 46-14. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Charles West's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Duchesne, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

St. Charles West didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Duchesne in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 37-31 win.
