Basketball Game Preview: Delaware Academy Bulldogs vs. Greene Trojans

The Delaware Academy Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Greene Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Delaware Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Delaware Academy can't be too worried about heading out to take on Greene: they just beat Unatego at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Delaware Academy enjoyed a cozy 53-35 win over Unatego on Friday. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly 18 points.

Meanwhile, Greene had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They blew past the Black Knights 63-41. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Black Knights are ranked 581st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Delaware Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points over those games. As for Greene, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.

Delaware Academy came up short against Greene in their previous matchup back in January, falling 32-27. Can Delaware Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
