Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Jupiter Christian

Jupiter Christian entered their tilt with Berean Christian on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Berean Christian Bulldogs by a score of 72-60. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-50 back in December of 2024.

Jupiter Christian had a senior duo take command as Jordan Rivera went 11 for 14 en route to 26 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds and Matthew Barrett dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivera has scored all season. Jake Becker was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

When it comes to explaining why Berean Christian lost, don't look at Derek Vasquez. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 23 on his way to 26 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds. Those seven blocks gave Vasquez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyk Smith, who posted 12 points and seven boards.

Jupiter Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Berean Christian, they now have a losing record at 11-12.

Jupiter Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 85-67 win against Somerset College Prep Academy on the 30th. Berean Christian has also already played their next game, a 68-33 loss against King's Academy on the 30th.
