Becton came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Butler Bulldogs. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

David Smith had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 225 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 118 yards and one TD on only nine passes for Butler. Those 225 rushing yards gave Smith a new career-high. Yadi Perez helped out on the ground, rushing for 93 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Becton's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Butler, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

As of now, neither Becton nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
