Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Port Chester Rams, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 back in April.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Port Chester, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-12.

Mount Vernon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against White Plains on the 13th. As for Port Chester, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 defeat against New Rochelle on the 14th.
