Preview: Mesa Jackrabbits vs. Skyline Coyotes
Mesa is 8-2 against Skyline since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mesa Jackrabbits will look to defend their home court against the Skyline Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. Mesa has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Mesa scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Westwood 62-34 on the road. Mesa has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.
Amya Bekele continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Anaya Packer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Skyline can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past San Luis 48-25. The victory was just what Skyline needed coming off of a 76-18 defeat in their prior contest.
Mesa's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Skyline, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-11.
Mesa strolled past Skyline when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 56-40. Will Mesa repeat their success, or does Skyline have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
