Softball Game Preview: Clearfield Bison vs. DuBois Beavers

The Clearfield Bison will head out on the road to challenge the DuBois Beavers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Clearfield fell victim to Penns Valley Area and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, DuBois came up short against Mifflin County on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The contest marked the Beavers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Clearfield now has a losing record of 4-5. As for DuBois, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Clearfield was able to grind out a solid victory over DuBois in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
