Baseball Game Preview: Wesson Cobras vs. St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws

For the second straight game, Wesson will face off against St. Stanislaus. The Cobras will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Rock-a-Chaws at 6:30 p.m. Wesson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.3 runs per game this season.

Wesson heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Monday. They came up short against St. Stanislaus, falling 16-5. The Cobras' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Wesson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Wilson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

St. Stanislaus' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-13. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wesson, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.
