Basketball Recap: Greensburg Salem's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hempfield Area, Greensburg Salem was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 56-44 victory over the East Allegheny Wild Cats. The win was some much needed relief for the Golden Lions as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Greensburg Salem's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for East Allegheny, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greensburg Salem will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Mifflin at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for East Allegheny, they will face off against Belle Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
