Volleyball Recap: Stargate School Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Stargate School hadn't done well against Kent Denver recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Eagles blew past the Sun Devils 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Stargate School won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-20.

Elizabeth (Ellie) Romary paced Stargate School's offense, picking up 15 kills. Romary got some help from Reese White and her 31 assists. Romary also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Morgan Stitzer, each putting up four.

When it comes to explaining why Kent Denver lost, don't look at Valana Thompson. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs and two aces.
