Softball Recap: Orosi Takes a Loss

Farmersville hit Orosi with a five-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals came up short against the Aztecs, falling 13-3. The Cardinals' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Orosi saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Mendoza, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Orosi's loss dropped their record down to 7-18-1. As for Farmersville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Orosi and Farmersville will both be playing Summit Charter Collegiate Academy the next time they take the field. The Aztecs will host the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Cardinals will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
