Soccer Game Preview: McCollum vs. Southwest Legacy

The McCollum Cowboys will venture away from home to take on the Southwest Legacy Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. McCollum will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

McCollum's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Winn with a sharp 6-0 victory. Considering the Cowboys have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Winn with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alita Uresti (3), Ashbel Isidro, Lizbeth Fernandez Huerta, and Natalia Urbiola.

Meanwhile, Southwest Legacy beat Winn 2-0 on Wednesday.

McCollum's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those six games. As for Southwest Legacy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8.

McCollum beat Southwest Legacy by a goal when the teams last played back in January, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for McCollum since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
