Fleming and Simla are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. The Wildcats will face off against the Cubs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Fleming sitting on 14 straight wins and Simla on 12.

On Thursday, Fleming made easy work of Idalia and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-9, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Simla and Fowler faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Thursday. The Cubs put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Simla took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-13.

Simla's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Fleming, their win bumped their record up to 18-1.

Fleming couldn't quite get it done against Simla in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
