Basketball Recap: West Carter Takes a Loss

West Carter was the 56-42 winner over Morgan County when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The West Carter Comets fell 59-51 to the Morgan County Cougars on Monday.

West Carter has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. The victory made it two in a row for Morgan County and bumps their season record up to 11-16.

West Carter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgan County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-38 defeat against East Carter on the 27th.
