Volleyball Recap: Birchwood Comes Up Short

Birchwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Bruce Red Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Birchwood ultimately came up short, they really made Bruce work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 23-25, 25-11, 26-24.

Caiden Lindemans paced Birchwood's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lindemans got some help from Alyiah Glaze and her 28 assists.

Birchwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Bruce, they moved to 5-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Birchwood has already played their next match (against Lac Courte Oreilles), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bruce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
