Basketball Recap: Duval Charter Takes a Loss

Duval Charter was the 58-57 winner over Harvest Community when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Duval Charter Panthers fell 60-53 to the Harvest Community Warriors on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adam Lawson was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 16 en route to 30 points and seven boards for Harvest Community. Another player making a difference was Ryan Pritchard, who posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

Duval Charter's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Harvest Community, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Duval Charter will square off against Eagle's View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagle's View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Duval Charter likes a good challenge. As for Harvest Community, they will face off against Yulee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Harvest Community is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.
