Baseball Game Preview: Castaic Coyotes vs. Flintridge Prep Wolves

The Castaic Coyotes will face off against the Flintridge Prep Wolves at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games Castaic has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Castaic is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest defeat since February 26th on Thursday. They fell just short of Valencia by a score of 9-7.

Bryson Nieuwkoop was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aiden Arroyo, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Flintridge Prep came up short against Oakwood on Wednesday and fell 10-7.

Nicholas Aparicio made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Spencer Rolfe was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Castaic's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Flintridge Prep, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Castaic got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Flintridge Prep by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Coyotes repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
