Canon City took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They strolled past the Eagle Valley Devils with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Canon City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Reddick, who rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave Reddick a new career-high in rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Harms, who gained 116 total yards and two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Canon City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 203 rushing yards in four consecutive games dating back to last season.
