Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Broncos vs. Cross County Cougars

The Centennial Broncos will take on the Cross County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Centennial is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Heartland 68-37. The win continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won five in a row.

Centennial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Richters led the charge by putting up 17 points. That's the most points Richters has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Ehlers, who had 14 points.

Meanwhile, Cross County entered their tilt with East Butler on Tuesday with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. They blew past the Tigers 67-25. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 25 points or more this season.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Cross County, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
