Football Game Preview: Tekoa-Rosalia vs. Selkirk

Selkirk have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Tekoa-Rosalia at 7:00 PM. The two teams are strolling into their game after big wins in their previous games.

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Selkirk and Northport. Selkirk were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Northport 64-8. Junior Jay Link was the offensive standout of the match for Selkirk, as he threw 6 TDs and picked up 102 yards on the ground. Link has been a consistent playmaker for Selkirk as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Tekoa-Rosalia put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They made easy work of Republic and carried off a 50-20 win. That's another feather in the cap for Tekoa-Rosalia, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Their wins bumped Tekoa-Rosalia to 4-1 and Selkirk to 3-2. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
