Basketball Recap: Corpus Christi Moody Takes a Loss

Corpus Christi Moody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a blow against the Miller Buccaneers, falling 65-34. The Trojans were down 44-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Miller's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lamarcus Cullum, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Trevor Long was another key player, putting up five points along with seven boards and four steals.

Corpus Christi Moody's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Miller, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Corpus Christi Moody will take on Tuloso-Midway in a tournament on Friday. Miller and Gregory-Portland will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Gregory-Portland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Miller likes a good challenge.
