Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Wicksburg

Wicksburg never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Zion Chapel Rebels with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Chloe Joyner was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and one double while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Anleigh Wood was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Joyner wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Wicksburg lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Wicksburg pushed their record up to 2-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.5 runs. As for Zion Chapel, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Wicksburg is taking a road trip to challenge Dothan at 6:00 p.m. on February 25th. As for Zion Chapel, they will challenge Providence Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
