Basketball Recap: Teague Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Teague, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They secured a 55-50 W over the Groesbeck Goats on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Goats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 69-56 loss.

Brayden Leija was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Carter Stacks, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Teague moved to 6-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Groesbeck, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Teague has already played their next contest (against Mexia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Groesbeck has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Buffalo.
