Recap: Waterloo Pirates vs. Lakeside Lutheran Warriors
The Waterloo Pirates pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeside Lutheran. Waterloo has struggled against Lakeside Lutheran recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakeside Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Reinke, who scored 19 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reinke has scored all season. Wes Rahn was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.
Waterloo has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.
Waterloo will take on Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Marshall is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they will square off against New Berlin West at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
