Calvary Baptist came tearing into Thursday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 69-54 victory over the Covenant Christian Cougars. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 72-29 victory back in January.

Calvary Baptist's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Wilson, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight assists and three steals. Wilson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Hargrave, who posted 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Wilson wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Calvary Baptist was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Calvary Baptist pushed their record up to 23-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Covenant Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 18 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Calvary Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Covenant Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Faith Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
